RE-BRANDING — IDENTITY SYSTEM, FRONT & BACK LABELS

Mario Badescu is an established skincare brand for a wide ranging demographic. The goal for this project was to elevate the entire experience the skincare line provides consumers, not only through the results of the product, but through its packaging system. The first step in the re-branding process was to decide whether or not the plastic containers would be kept. Decided against plastic, to heighten the quality of the product, glass containers were used instead. The decision to change the actual container, helped modernize the overall look of the brand and supported the bold decisions made for the packaging systems designed. For the labels, adding vibrant color, and a mix of sans serif typefaces resulted in a youthful new image of Mario Badescu to further welcome the already diverse consumer base. The icons for the ingredients of the bottle were also intentionally designed, and strategically placed in the front so consumers who are now more than ever conscious of looking out for these components, have this important information available at first sight.
