AD CAMPAIGN & SPREAD LAYOUT

Have you ever curled? I haven’t but this project was a great way to learn about the sport, and understand the history that plays a huge roll in the city of St. Paul, MN. Diving into advertising with this project helped expand my understanding of bringing life into an already established brand, it was a great new experience to focus on sports, and with the St. Paul Curling club it pushed me out of my comfort zone since I didn’t understand anything about curling until taking this project on. Through research, and further understanding the demographics that the club already has a good grasp on, I was able to create ad campaign that would touch base with younger individuals looking to try something new. By drawing inspiration from Nike, Always, Ikea, and Olympic ads, more color and gradients were added to expand outside of the known red, white and blue. Fun and humorous tag-lines, as well as a touch of historic essence for the ad campaigns helped design the final renditions of the collateral introducing a new side of curling.
